A Different Point of View

A changing face
Is in your eyes
You criticize
We all try

And you believe
That you are greater
Than all the rest
The brightest feather

What would you give
To admire
The people you love?
Not your desire

Why do you see
All things fractured?
Do you believe
That all things rot?

Can you see
That people try?
That people love?
That we all cry...

To be understood
To have you see
The goals in our minds
The thoughts in our hearts

It's in your eyes
That we all die
But in my heart
I am

Alive.
