The Phoenix
Where is the Peace I called for long ago? How can I win if I don't see or wish to know? What can I do if I don't see through shadowed glass, panes of refuge from a painful, violent past?Pain of refuge, yes it is a fire that burns within And scorches my soul, a firebrand of sin, The firebrand to put aflame my lust for love and hate Desire for vengeance and for freedom from the wheel of fate What to do, oh how to know? I know I feel the God, The God of love who ends all strife and kills the captor's rod The rod of sorrow and of woe which seeks to bind the man And bring him down to low estate, the vineyard of the damned I know I'll win. There is no sin come hell or hellish lust Deceitful treachery breeds fear, anger and mistrust Evil cannot win; fear lost! For it is but a veil, Ill used glass is shattered; Peace reigns Hail God of Victory, Hail God of Glory too! Behold the light streams forth through me, oh I see only you, Oh God you are so magnificent, Praise Abba, Father true Yours is the glory for this story, victory, lover, truth. Behold peace, the conqueror of all Is Victory for all
